Webster Groves Public Library First Annual Missouri Writer's Expo
The Friends of the Webster Groves Public Library, in cooperation with the Webster Groves Public Library, would be hosting, The First Annual Missouri Writer's Expo. Thirty regional authors will promote their work, sell their books and meet with the public. Took a little Ozark trip - Started at Onondaga State Park
Arranged and took a special tour of Onondaga Cave. Got to explore normally closed sections of the cave with the Park Naturalist (Michelle), took my assistant Pat. Sections viewed included the Missouri cavern section and the submarine room. Involved lots of walking!
These are both areas that have been off of the regular tour for decades and they have lots of history in them. You can view the ruins of entrance works for Missouri caverns as you enter Onondaga State Park. We were underneath these ruins on the tour. We also saw three rare cave salamanders in this section of the cave. Also the old boat dock and lots of bats. Lots of fun. I plan on going back, want to explore the lost tour trail of Missouri Caverns that I found.
People should not worry about these old sections of the cave tour because the State has arranged that you see the very BEST of the caves.

September 25th, I will be joining a group of Rhodes Scholars doing a dig at the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
I don’t know exactly what they will have me doing but even if it is emptying waste cans, I will be the best waste can emptier they have. I’m as excited as a little boy waiting for Christmas. I got permission from Dr. Larry Agenbroad, World-renown paleontologist who heads the Mammoth Site, and Joe Muller, Business Manager.
The Mammoth Museum and Dig Site is show-cased in my newest book, Underground Treasures of the Black Hills, Tour Caves, Mammoths, Mines, Museums & More.

June 24, 25 and 26th
I will be attending the Virginian Hotel's 100th Anniversary event. You will find me staying there and "telling stories" that weekend. The hotel is in the ghost town of Medicine Bow and is allegedly haunted by "Hank". The Virginian Hotel is in two of my books: Ghost Towns of Wyoming and Haunted Hotels of the West.
A few of us will enjoy dinner Friday night the 24th, with a member of the cast from the 1960s TV Show "The Virginian", James Drury.

On my way this week!!! This Thursday, I have the awesome opportunity to spend the night at Stone Lion Inn in Guthrie, OK. Becky Luker has graciously opened the inn for the night that was once a funeral home and it has been claimed that it has three ghosts as permanent residents. Her B&B is open weekends throughout the year. Be sure to check back to hear how I fared through my night of the paranormal!
After my stay in Guthrie, OK.- I am on my way to our great Southwest states of New Mexico and Arizona. This field research trip is my next step in getting ready for the newest adventure books that are sure to satisfy anyone's appetite for adventure!
